EngenderHealth Tanzania is now seeking applications from highly qualified candidates to fill in the following positions. All positions will be based in Dar es salaam and are open to Tanzanian candidates only.

Title: Knowledge Management and Research Coordination Advisor
Reports to: Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Manager, Tanzania

Job Summary
Working under the daily supervision and technical guidance from the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (ME&R) Manager at the EngenderHealth Tanzania (EHT) Headquarters in Dar es Salaam, the proposed position is to provide support to EngenderHealth Tanzania in all areas related to knowledge management and research. The KMRC Advisor will pay a key role in updating and leading implementation of country Knowledge Management and Communications Strategy to increase effectiveness of communication, knowledge sharing and access to knowledge internally (across EH Tanzania projects and EH countries), and externally. The KMRC Advisor will also work to increase innovation (by allowing greater access to knowledge and ideas), improve collaboration among staff The KMRC Advisor will also coordinate and manage EHT studies, activities of study partners in relation to study implementation, and liaise with the National Medical Institute for Research (NIMR). The KMRC advisor will work closely with the KM/MER Africa Regional Manager and EHT program staff to ensure evidence, lessons learned and best practices are appropriately captured, documented, and disseminated.

Key Qualifications:
• Degree in demography, social sciences, statistics or a related discipline. A background in health science or related discipline is also an advantage.
• At least four years of professional experience in knowledge management or communications, and health research.
• Experience in research, on SRHR and Women empowerment initiatives
• Experience in writing study protocols and managing studies
• Must have written abstracts, manuscripts for publication, reports and technical briefs
• Experience presenting and national and international conferences
• Experience in managing and implementing health-related research studies, including all aspects of coordination, ethical approvals, activity management and process documentation
• High level of computer literacy including MS Office and statistical packages
• Strong oral and written communication skills in a professional capacity
• Excellent writing skills
• Fluent in English
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Experience working on donor funded projects.
• Prior experience working in maternal, reproductive and sexual health
