Brief Description of position:
The Camp Manager is responsible for the following:
- Heading up the Camp department teams in all operations of the camp
- Effective management of staff at all levels
- Motivating the team to build on and improve the ‘Guest Experience’
- Driving the hospitality and safari offering so as to exceed guest expectations
- Ensuring high levels of guest interaction and education
- Maintaining all aspects of facilities and assets in the camp and back of house
- Hygiene and safety of guests and staff
- Environmental awareness according to the company standards
- Innovating new ideas in camp
Evidence of:
- Citizen of Tanzania
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Outstanding people skills
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm to drive the guest experience; a record of consistently excellent guest feedback
- A record of outstanding staff relations; the skills and experience to constantly motivate staff
- A minimum of 3 years of international camp management experience in a 5 star safari lodge
- Skills and experience to achieve and maintain high standards in the work place
- Outstanding ability to manage financial budgets and to meet set targets
